Westmoreland County’s Household Hazardous AND ELECTRONIC Waste (HHW) Fall collection will take place at the A. T. Johnson Building parking lot in Montross on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 8am-12pm. Residents are encouraged to bring TVs, computers, stereos, oil-based paint, cleaners, pesticides, and much more! The Sheriff’s office will be present to collect prescription drugs for proper disposal. The collection is limited to Westmoreland County residents and property owners only.

Westmoreland County residents and property owners are asked to bring old household chemicals such as oil-based paint, cleaners, solvents, old or used petroleum products (including mower and boat gas), pool chemicals, pesticides and spent fluorescent and CFL bulbs.  Residents should not bring ammunition, radioactive materials or tires.
