Contact VDACS (804-371-6561) or your local ANR Extension agent for exceptions (unknown pesticide/amounts > 3,000lbs). HOW TO PREPARE FOR DISPOSAL: Conduct an inventory and set aside chemicals to discard using proper storage conditions until disposal. If you have amounts of unknown chemicals over 5 gallons or 50lbs, call your local VCE office to set up a visit with the pesticide investigator for sampling.

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) Pesticide Collection Program will be collecting pesticides in the Northern Neck this year! On Tuesday, August 25 from 9 am to 1 pm, agricultural producers, licensed pesticide businesses, certified applicators, golf courses and homeowners will be able to bring unwanted and/or outdated pesticides to Helena Chemical in Warsaw for disposal. Participation in the program is free, and registration is requested by July 25th.
