Westmoreland County SPRING Hazardous Waste Collection Returns May 18th!
Westmoreland County’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Spring collection will take place at the A. T. Johnson Building parking lot in Montross on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 9am-2pm. The fee charge has been removed! Residents & property owners will not be charged a weight fee for HHW items. Sponsored by C&F Bank, Shred-it will be available for onsite document shredding and the Sheriff’s office will be present to collect prescription drugs. The collection is limited to Westmoreland County residents and property owners only.

Westmoreland County residents and property owners are asked to bring old household chemicals such as oil-based paint, cleaners, solvents, old or used petroleum products (including mower and boat gas), pool chemicals, pesticides and spent florescent and CFL bulbs. NO electronics.
Residents should not bring ammunition, radioactive materials, tires, car batteries, medical waste, or prescription drugs.
